For qualifying clients, the engagement letter will provide the basic personal information needed to set you up in the tax software. It will also have you answer questions that are required to be answered on the federal return, let you know what bank account and other identification documents must be provided, and means you may not need to complete any of the below worksheets in order to provide everything needed for your return to be prepared. For those clients with other income that should be reported, or those with a Schedule C self-employed business or Schedule E rental property, the downloadable worksheets can provide a way for you to efficiently organize your income and expenses. Feel free to download, complete, and upload any of the worksheets that apply to you.
Just a reminder that NONE of the below worksheets are REQUIRED to be submitted. They might be helpful since it would reduce potential questions needed to be asked of you, and they might be helpful to you because less time spent preparing your returns equals a cheaper cost, but they are optional.
